Trump's biggest 'attack' till date, America's doors closed for these countries!

The United States has announced strict travel restrictions on citizens of 20 more countries, effective January 1. President Trump's decision will now virtually close the doors of the United States to people from more than 35 countries.

US President Donald Trump has made a major decision to further tighten his immigration policies. Starting January 1st, the US will impose strict travel restrictions on citizens of 20 new countries.

This brings the total number of countries whose citizens are either completely barred from entering the US or will face strict restrictions to over 35.

Which countries have been affected?

This new order will have a significant impact on many parts of the world, particularly countries in Africa and the Pacific. The US has imposed a complete ban on citizens of Syria, South Sudan, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso. Furthermore, those holding documents issued by the Palestinian Authority will also be barred from entering the US.

Furthermore, partial bans have been imposed on 15 other countries, including Angola, Benin, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

This means that citizens of these countries will now find it increasingly difficult to obtain a US visa. This is considered the Trump administration 's most significant attempt to restrict legal entry into the US.

One shooting changed the whole picture.

The primary reason behind this crackdown is an incident last month that shook the entire administration. An Afghan national named Rahmanullah Lakanwal opened fire on two National Guard soldiers, one of whom later died.

An investigation revealed that the accused had entered the US in 2021 under a program created by the Biden administration for Afghan allies.

Following this incident, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem urged the president to take strong action. She categorically stated that a complete ban should be imposed on any country sending "killers, parasites, and freeloaders" to the United States. Trump had also previously indicated that he wanted to impose a permanent ban on immigration from third-world countries.

Eclipse on students' dreams

This new order isn't just for tourists, but it will also affect those who have long dreamed of settling in the United States. According to the new rules, the entry of spouses, children, and parents of American citizens will now be restricted. The application process for siblings and adult children has also been virtually closed.

Doug Rand, a former senior Department of Homeland Security official, says the policy “completely shuts the door to almost all non-citizens from the countries on the list.”

This will most severely impact Afghan citizens who assisted US forces during the war, as their immigration applications are now indefinitely blocked.

Allegations of discrimination are being made

This decision has sparked debate in the US. Trump supporters say it's "common sense" for national security. They argue that if you don't know who someone is and whether they pose a threat to the country, they shouldn't be allowed in. Critics, meanwhile, believe the move is discriminatory and reignites old disputes.
