The series is confirmed to feature a powerful 200MP camera, a large 7000mAh battery, and a new processor. The Realme 16 Pro+ will be positioned as the most premium model. The launch event will be livestreamed today at 12 noon.
Leaked prices of Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+
According to leaked information, the Realme 16 Pro 5G could start at ₹31,999 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 8GB + 256GB variant is expected to cost ₹33,999, and the 12GB + 256GB model is expected to cost ₹36,999.
The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is expected to have an entry price of ₹39,999. The top variant is expected to cost ₹44,999, making it the most expensive phone in the series.
How different from earlier Realme Pro models
Looking at the prices of Realme's previous Pro series, the Realme 15 Pro 5G also started at ₹31,999, but it didn't include a Pro+ model. Previously, the Realme 14 Pro+ started at ₹29,999.
With the new Realme 16 Pro+, the company has once again reintroduced the Pro+ branding. This clearly indicates that rising component costs and increased storage are pushing prices closer to ₹45,000.
Major features of camera, battery and processor
Realme has confirmed that both phones will feature a large 7000mAh battery and a 200MP primary rear camera. The Realme 16 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the Realme 16 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset. The Pro+ model will also feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, further strengthening its photography capabilities.
Display, Software, and Competition
The Realme 16 Pro series will feature AMOLED displays with a peak brightness of up to 6500 nits. Both phones will run on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, and the company is promising three years of OS updates.
Price-wise, this series will compete directly with smartphones like the OnePlus Nord 5, iQOO Neo 10, and OPPO F31 Pro+. All eyes are now on today's launch event, where the actual price and offers will be revealed.
